I want to start a T-shirt and Jewelry business for women?? ADVICE?

I am sick of this economy! And I want to start a business,


I have a business idea, t-shirts and jewelry.. I am REALLY good at making tie dye shirts- really pretty jewelry, and all of that...





Do you have any advice for me? Like where to advertise? What states do little boutiques and business do great in? Beside CALI?

First you would need to make a business plan so you know what to expect as far as the start up costs and costs to maintain the business. You may also consider having an online store and selling on auction sites such as e-bay on the side. As far as which state would be best to sell in, there is really no definite answer--pick a location with good traffic and as little competition as possible. Starting out you may want to consider mailing out flyers announcing your opening day and attaching a coupon or two. Radio ads would be a good idea, but are more costly. Ok first you need to have your desings made into samples.


If you want to start your own ebay store to sell them is fine, but if you want to sell to boutiques all over the US. I recommend you to go with all of your samples to the MAGIC Trade show in Las Vegas Nevada.





The MAGIC Trade show is basically for all vendors to sell to buyers for boutiques, and big retailers as well. Buyers go to this convention just to buy new good products. I work at a company where they go to this show 2 times a year and make alot of $$ selling to boutiques.





You can have a small booth at this show by contacting them and they will send you the packages to fill out to be a part of it. They will also tell you if you need to show spring/summer or fall/winter.
