Any advice to cope with labor pains? Any advice from expeirenced women how to keep calm?

Im almost 20 weeks. But im hearing all these stories. And i want to do it as natural as possible.Any advice to cope with labor pains? Any advice from expeirenced women how to keep calm?
Do what you feel is good for yourself to cope with the pain. There are many different things you can do while in labor to ease it. Hospitals are all different and offer different things -

- birthing ball

-warm tub

-have your birthing partner massage your back - especially the lower back where you will experience pain as the baby presses on your pelvis as it descends

-soothing music

Whatever you choose to help will benefit you and your baby! Hope all goes well when the time comes! Good luck and congrats!!Any advice to cope with labor pains? Any advice from expeirenced women how to keep calm?
20 weeks is still early and just the time to be freaking out. but here is the secret the further along you get hormones will come in and calm you. it's great. you could hear a building dropped and you will just say ';ahhh that's too bad.'; plus your instincts will kick in and all you will focus on will be the good of the baby. it will be so strong you will go through a discussion with your husband, 'if anything happends pick the baby'; you will be nuts with love for your baby.

also take the class, i don't know if it helped but let me tell you when i crack my big toe on a hard table i drop to the floor and still do my lamaze breathing and it helps with that!
i think you just have to train your body and mind and work with the pains...i was induced and had an epidural and from pics of the pain being a 10 i was asleep...but i was drugged...honestly i really dont know how women can do that naturally..i guess just surround yourself with comforting things, and dont fight the pain...find a good way to breathe and try to hold on.
im 26 weeks and scared shitttless. i figure if i freak myself out enough, ill expect it to be worse than it is...and maybe, just maybe it wont be so bad ! =? good luck
take a birthing class and learn all the different breathing techniques.
