can you get pregnant if your period is irregular and you take birth control to have your period and then when you get it you stop taking it and start taking the vitex pill again? Do you think it will make me ovulate?

Absolutely. Doctors use this method all the time to help women get pregnant that have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). The birth control will regulate your cycle and increase your progesterone levels. When getting off of the birth control, there are less cysts and the progesterone levels are higher in order to carry a pregnancy to term. I am going to a fertility specialist and this is what they are doing to me.
You would be better off going to an ob/gyn to find out why your periods aren't regular and if you are ovulating or not. Just trying to fix the problem yourself without knowing what's wrong isn't going to help much.
That will make your cycle REALLY messed up! Talk to your doctor about getting on something to help you out... btw you can ovulate with out a period.
